New Patients
Your first visit to Maylands Dental involves a few steps so that we can best get to know you and understand your priorities and oral health needs. We will first require you to fill in a form providing us with your medical history and contact details. Our dentists will then perform a thorough oral examination, including x-rays and intraoral photos where indicated, and create a comprehensive treatment plan. The dentist will explain and discuss all the treatment options with you in detail. You can call us anytime to discuss your dental needs.
Private Patients
The majority of patients come to us as private patients. If you are a member of a participating health fund, we provide the convenience of automatic claims processing through HICAPS (Health Industry Claims and Payments Service).We will ensure that we discuss your treatment options and costs with you before commencing treatment.Interest Free Payment Plan
Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)
If you have a child between 2 and 17 years of age and receive Family Tax Benefit Part A, your child may be eligible to receive dental care under the CDBS. This is a new Medicare scheme which provides up to $1000 of dental treatment over two years.
The CDBS replaces the Teen Dental Scheme and expands on the types of treatment that can be provided to patients by private dentists.
For eligible patients, we bulk bill our services so that you should have no out of pocket expenses for treatment covered by the scheme.

Dept of Veterans Affairs (DVA)
Maylands Dental is registered to provide dental care to eligible DVA card holders. For information on how to access dental services under this scheme please click here.South Australian Dental Service (SADS)
SADS patients may be offered the opportunity to receive care from a private dentist. Patients must be referred by their Community Dental Service clinic.
Maylands Dental participates in the provision of dental care to SADS eligible patients through the following schemes:

> Emergency Dental Scheme (EDS)
> Pensioner Denture Scheme (PDS)
